Fatu,u

last week room 16 has been working on their maori art from Fatu’u . Mr Somerville has been telling us all about Fatu’u showed us his pictures ,painting, and drawing they all looked creative
I started to get the picture so.Mr S said we frist had to go on our netbooks and search of his
pictures and then  draw it on a light paper I had an large paper and started lightly  on the paper with my pencil then I had to get three different colours and colour it in beautifully so it looks cool.
The next day was freaky because we were gonna use the indian ink the whole class thought    that it was gonna be normal ink but it wasn't that ink was dangerous because if we get it anywhere on our clothes or hands it will never come off so Mr S had taken 10 painting holders
to put the indian ink in after that  Mr S carefully put in the indian ink in so we all started gently over lining the pencil marks we did with the ink.
Today is our last day of finishing our lovely art so we only
had to finish our art with the indian ink

Swimming story

Last week Room 16 has been learning how to swim. The first thing that we all had to do is change and get into the pool. Anamei and I were buddies, but I felt bad because I can’t swim until I get better at it, but when I saw Anamei, she was vs Levi and Jabez. I cheered for Anamei but when ever they had races, Anamei always seemed to be winning. Just then, the swimming teacher called out the winner and she said “ The winner is Anamei ’’ I was really happy for her.After that I felt board so I went to see raeleen and the others. I sat there and watched them as they swam in and out of the water. It was quite fun then. I saw Quziyah. She did well.


After two minutes later, the class had to get out of the pool. I saw Giselle. She was having lots of fun in the pool. I felt ashamed of myself because I couldn't go swimming with my friends. Then it was time to go back to school. So everyone had to change back to their school uniform. When were walking back to school I was walking with Giselle. I now have to  remember to bring my togs.

Aussie rules

On Wednesday room 16 went to go to play aussie rules with room 17 because it was the last day some of the classes were  a bit sad because everyone liked to play aussie rules and our three coaches were Nita, Sam and Brandon they show us how to do  drop punt ,faces away from lachesis .So Nita wanted us to play a game grab to the ball the classes had to kick the ball ,our teachers and coaches had to grab to balls just then everyone had to chose their buddy I picked Quziyah because she was alone .


just then Mr Somerville asked her can you please take some photos with action so Mr S lended the camera to take pictures of us kicking the ball just then we had to go back to sit on the bench
to listen to our coach then Nita said that we're going to play tag but a different tag game but we have to do drop punt. So Nita said  if you are it and you want to tag someone you have to have a ball and drop punt to tag just then I had been picked to be it just then sam yelled out octopus
then everyone ran to the other side of the court that time I only had got 2 runners to be the seaweeds and wriggle their arms to try and get people just then It was time to go back to class.


My favourite part was playing tag using drop punt I hope that we come back for
our next lesson hope you liked it .

My Pirate Story

DHARA Plan  charters Lararen,Max,place Lost Islandanimals SHARKS,Mermaidswere? atlanta

Hello my name is lauren and my funky parrot                                                                                      pirate me and max were going to have an adventure on my pirate ship to search gold on a lost island with mermaids,sharks and all sortsof things so me and max were sailing in the sea searching a lost ISLANDwith misery things out of this creepy island has an wonderful ATLANTISOne day there was a pirate called Lauren and her parrot MaxLauren was sailing her amazing pirate ship she was having a lovely dayon her ship just then she saw an tornado Lauren was terrified nek minute the tornadohits her ship swirling and swirling around then .
Then the next morning POOR  Lararen woke up with sadness then she yelled out MY BEAUTIFUL SHIP IS TOTALLY WRECKED IN BITS ‘thanks lord you sure made that a surprise which it was the worst surprise I'd ever had in my life so’’.  Lararen grabbed her map and entered the opened bushes later Lararen saw an huge hole in these big rock attached together just then she fell into it then it was the full moon then she trip into an small pool then she quickly got out when she felt the water it felt like something coming then she hid behind the rocks but ever she saw she was wowed then she whispered to her parrot do you know that it was? a Mermaid she was an beautiful one she had a colorful tail that stand out the colors were blue,green,yellow.
and her tail it was shining because of the moon light then I thought that it was time to show myself so I came out then the Mermaid went back to normal then the I said hi then she grabbed my parrot and jumped into back to the water and swam away then Went after her but when I went after her there were sharks so I went back in the water and swam as fast as I can .
But when I saw the mermaid she was swimming slow the she swam fast as and vanished  in the dark next  thought that it was a good or bad thing to do to go and rescue my friend Maxbut I knew that Max will always help me with the map and I know that I can not be in awesome places with out him so I had what it takes so I swam into the darkness and what I saw really amazing atlantis.
It was really beautiful and there I saw my parrot with that mean. Mermaid then I swam ,swam tillfinally I caught her tail and dragged her down and snached Max from her hand and swam back but I stole an ruby and went till finally I reached the end and I swam back when I got out I ran all the way back with the ruby and went to her ship and said to her parrot hey are you okay and ‘replayed no way I never wanna go to this this place ’’.well at least you are  here with methen just then Max said look the ruby its shining at our great ship. Till finally the ruby made the ship back together again but after when it was all  fixed  it was time to get homeafter 3 years? Lauren and Max became famous because of the ruby and they live happily ever after.

Ben Carson

On Tuesday we went to see Ben Carson to learn more about books. We went to the big stadium for a special Duffy Assembly. Ben Carson told us that if we read books we can learn things from it.

When he was a little boy he threw rocks at cars but after he picked up the rock he got a book and read all about rocks. At his school every one called him a dummy but he said, "Okay, I am a dummy because I can't answer any questions in class."

But one day at school his teacher said to her class, "What is this rock called?" Ben knew what it was called but waited for someone else to put their hand up, but no one did. So he put his hand up and the kids said, "Look, the dummy has something to say!" They got ready for Ben to say something funny. But instead the teacher said, "That's right!" The kids were so surprised!

sWell guess what Ben Carson said the cool people are acting cool but the slow learner are better because they work hard. He told a story about this boy who was acting so cool that girls liked him. Then guess what happened? When they were both finished collage the slow learner (Ben Carson) had a really good job and the cool dude didn't even have a job at all!

Then Ben Carson went beyond and had earned trophies and had got married. But the cool dude got poorer and poorer. So you see you don't have to be cool you just need to be a person who works hard to reach your goal!

Hi my name is Dhara and I’m 10 years old and my birthday is on the 12 of May. I’m Indian
so people sometimes like to to tease me and I don’t like it. I’ve got long blending black and    
brown hair and sparkling brown not really.
 
FAVOURITE THINGS
My favourite sport is swimming because sometimes it just makes me feel slim like a mermaid. My favourite singer is Jennifer Lopez on the floor ft Pitbull because she totally rocks and
my special tv programme is H2o just add water because it is all about mermaids and
mermaids are my favorite creatures, my under living water movie is dolphin tale because its a true story healthy. My food is subway because it’s tasty and my favourite PlayStation game is good vs bad and my best game on the computer is Mos-hi Monsters

Hobbies
My hobbies is drawing because once I was on my dads laptop and I was looking at  scraft girlfriend for 10 minutes. Just then I,d grabbed a big pad and started to draw but what ever I’m doing I was just scribble on the pad and it was just a waste and I like to help my teacher  so they don’t have to be lazy all the time. Sometimes I like to help my mother with the dishes so I get something for the mall for myself also I like to go to the MC Donald's  but just once a day.

Favourite subject and Worst subject
My favourite subject is writing on paper and painting. My worst subject is to put lots of things into my files on my netbook.
