Farewell 2013

I would love to say that I have enjoyed being in room 19 because I had an amazing, fun teacher to be with this year. My teacher is so cool I bet the students in team 5 wanted to be in her class.  Team 5 is the years 7 and 8 group at Pt England School. I have made some friends but mostly I do random stuff alone like sitting and watch people play handball

So next year the year eights are not going to be here, and they are going college. I would like say farewell to Andrea because she has been an amazing leader.  She can be caring but I don't play with her that much, but she is really a fun person to be with.  Some friends of mine have been really caring for me and I am really going to miss what they have done for me this year.

I am really going to miss Miss Tito she is a really awesome teacher to learn and have fun with, she can get annoyed with some people easily.  Miss Tito really likes art like me. I really was not expecting that but I was really glad about it.  I hope I will be able to invited her over for a fireworks day one day.

For next year I am looking forward I hope I will be with a teacher who is interested in art and does creative things like making new thing from around the world.  Also I am looking forward to seeing how many new friends I will be making and how it is going to be like to be an year 8.

In 2013 I have learnt so much from my teacher I don't want to leave the class.  It's been a year already and it only feels like a week. 

In the future I will come back and visit this place and might even be come a teacher.

My First Term At Room 19

Hello everyone my name is Dhara and today I'm going to be talking about my first term at room 19 it was the best term by far .   .   .  .

At first Day of the term I was really shy, and anxious about the people and classmate I was going to meet and make, When I was in the class I saw my last years classmates, I was not expecting that ? but I was glad, as soon as I entered the classroom I was really wowed , it had alot of posters and pictures and facts that we will be needing in all our subject's.

To be honest I actually thought that my Teacher was going to be Mr Harris but he left, I was really excited who was going to be our new teacher, people kept saying it was going to be miss Tito, but I didn't know who that person was so I asked My friend Anamei "who is this teacher Miss Tito ?" then she replied ' yes Miss Tito is a really cool teacher, she really like to do cool stuff" I was really not expecting that but she turn out the teacher I had last year Mr Somerville she cool and awesome and does fun stuff.

So in the morning I was sitting and waiting in class, but our teacher didn't come so Mrs Nua from room 22 had to come just until Miss Tito comes back. So then Mrs Nua asked us to make a movie for Miss Tito just to make her feel welcomed, so I went in a with Anamei, Jorja, Andrea, Te rina's group so we made the movie and and all we had to do is just fix it, until and had to do final touch up. Just then she arrived with a huge smile on her face and yelled ' HI yes I'm back" then she came in and gave Mrs Nua kiss on the cheek , then they hugged which was really sweet.

The next day she spent most of her time knowing about us, how we can do stuff together, and she told us what her likes and dislikes they were funny and cool, after a while she got out a fake chicken out of her drawer, and asked the class 'who wants to play catch then chicken ?" Then we all said ' yes" and we went outside and played in the hot raise of the sun after playing that game we all came in sweating which was refreshing.

In week 2 on Monday my teacher made a stars then I asked her "what is that for ?" then she said 'it means that if you do something that is helpful that makes her happy, your name can go up on the board next to star, and by the end of the week on Friday you get to do something really cool and awesome" so then on Miss Tito made a checklist and asked us  if we knew how to put in a tick in our checklist so some people knew but some didn't so she taught us all just in case if they get it wrong.

Week 3 so last week no one got on the stars but this week alot of people went on stars even I did, so then on Friday Miss Tito brought in clay and equipment the we will be needing, and we asked  Miss Tito what are we making and she said Koau koau. Koau koau is made out of clay and it is shaped like an emu egg  but it has got a main hole to blow in, and three to make music it's quite similar to a whistle once we made it, it was very difficult to make music with.

so then on we got have sleep-overs and got to eat pizza and did all those awesome things until term 2 thing started to get out of hand . . . .

My Best Netbook Reflection

My net-book has been so much better, than last year its faster, I don’t have to close it and turn it on if my mouse doesn't work, I have discovered to how file my docs presentations folders in other ways. It has helped be in things that I didn't know before and my weaknesses  Something my teacher has taught me how to put in a tick in my class check-lists, because I would ask people but no one would help me, but finally I had got help from my teacher and learnt it. 

Also I have learn't is is to be a purple cow, it mean's think outside of your leaning box, but not in a bad way,it just means to stand out from the rest and stay positive. No other teacher has said that to me well some have but they don't really mean it

I haven’t learn that much, but I have to keep remembering my speech mark after when someone in the story has said something, also I have discovered to how use caps lock in two, ways but instead of using caps lock all the time, I can press shift plus d = a capital D.

My friend Andrea is a really good proof-reader And I'm not that good at it but now I am she taught me how to use exclamation mark, speech marks, question marks, after certain sentences I did know all these before, but I didn't know where to put them ?.
I have helped some people where to find site’s, helping with some spelling mistakes, how to put in ticks in check-lists when they forget how, how to copy and paste all those thing like that.

I can manage myself, sometimes I think randomly when I'm not in the mood of thinking but its really bad for me, I like to participate in performances, games and sports a little bit but not all because I'm sometimes shy.

I also had a friend Hope but she left the school, which was really sad to hear, but she taught me how to post a presentation on your blog, and this was not expected,even Miss Tito forgot how to do that, so you have to make a post open with a title, and you just have to copy, the link and back to your post and paste it, you can put in detail and publish it.

Nelson Mandela

Nelson Mandela was born in July 18 1918 in a place named mvezo South Africa, he died on December 6th 2013, was one of the greatest men in 20th century, He changed the world for many people who struggled just for racism, and made a much more awesome place for millions of people.

In his early childhood Nelson Mandela lived in a village named tranzskiy his father died when Nelson Mandela was, he was raised royalty. in his adulthood he became activist with the African National Congress. Knowing power of young people.

apartheid was growing stronger and new laws were passed by which told them where they had to live and work, but Nelson Mandela tried to fighting back. He claimed he hoped that he will bring down the oppressive government, and rebuild the country based on, freedom, and above all, equality.

So committed to equality, Mandela said  at the same time that “ it’s an ideal which i hope to live for and to achieve, But if it has to be an ideal I am ready to die.”                                  

Nelson Mandela was arrested in 1962 after being on the run 17 months. After 27 year Nelson Mandela was released of being imprisoned, and talks to form a multi-racial democracy were set to begin. Three years later, Mandela was awarded the awesome Nobel Peace prize for his work to end apartheid for ever.

Nelson Mandela’s years have been very memorable and encouraging, his best quotes I’ve loved is do better than your best and since he has made much more better place for a lot of people now he has became a legend and always will be.

My Day At Action World

On Friday December the 6, the whole of team 5 went to Henderson Action World for a trip, I went with my buddy mya, she is really kind friend of mine who likes to be on her phone all the time. So after a while we all got on the bus and sat with mya I was really excited of how it was going to be like when we get there.

Since there was nothing to do Miss V said ‘ since there is nothing to do let see who can get the most waves from people that are outside the bus not your friends’’ so then the challenge started everybody on the bus was really pumped up and over bored a bit just then a truck went past,  

There was a cute dog in the truck it looked adorable, then everybody on the bus started to scream and waved with huge smile on their faces, and he waved back it just got crazy, its when ever someone waves at you and they wave back they go crazy,

Once that was over we reached action, we met our instructor I forgot what his name was, but he told us the rule’s, so the rules were before you go and play on anything you have to take off your shoes and socks, second you don’t go in until the person gets off and then you go.

On the first object I went on the climbing wall, I went well but I kept falling off next was the jungle bars when you see people do it, it looked really easy but when we do it , its really scary it like falling while you have fainted,Third was the slide and jump, it was really fun I didn’t experienced the jump because it looked lame but the slide was way better, we had to take a sack to sit on before we can slide, it was really steep I felt like I was in a roller coaster.

Finally it was time to go back with our class in lines and we went back on the bus I was so exhausted my legs were aching but I was happy once we reached school we played sleeping lions Which was comforting.

My Three Highlights

My first highlight is the sleep-over with the people who finished everything in time, to be honest it only would take three or maybe two days to finish our tasks only on our check-list I didn't actually slept over I just stayed with them until 9:00pm. So after school the people were invited to the sleep-over had already brag their belongings and thing they needed first we went in the library because our class didn't have much place.

My second highlight FiaFia I was part of two things the Indian dance which was refreshing for me, I was wearing my favourite coloured blue Indian dress, it was really beautiful it was sent from India from my family members there, I miss them very very much. my second part of 60 The Quest choir it was fun but I was really shy.

My Third 60 The Quest I was in Miss Tito's dance group we worked together as such a great team, the cool ting about the dance is the we got to wear cool lights, Miss Muliaumasealii wowed with our dance we had three day to perform, on the first day I stuffed up the 2 day Its was okay third day I gave my best.
