Kabaddi Is a simple game of wrestling and strength. It is fun to play but make sure you're not too rough. This game is played in India, Punjabi, Canada ,England, New Zealand , USA, Pakistan, Australia.You can only have 10 people in the game four on each side there would be four people that have had their armed locked the person next to them. The other two people have to wait on the outside of the Square until the other person.

The rules of the game is that when you arm locked your hand and the person from the other team tries to tag you you can't break the lock or else the other team will win a point. Second you can't go past your behind the square you're in else the other team will win a point. No scratching No pulling hair No fights.

This game is similar to capture the flag, Rugby and Wrestling. When you are about to tag someone and run of you have to keep on saying kabaddi continually or else the other team will get a point without breathing. while you play you will be timed 30 seconds.

Kabaddi is easy and simple to play fun to enjoy.

Ki-O-Rahi

In a Maori legend there was a man called Rahi-Tutaka-Hina, he had had a beautiful wife named Ti ara-kura-pake-wai but for short Ti Ara. Then one day when Ti ara was in the forest, gathering flowers and plants, the Patupaiarehe carried her off dragging her deeper in the forest. None of her tribe could find her through the forest, until they realized that they put a spell on the forest to make the vines thick, so it can be difficult for them to find Ti Ara.

Once Rahi-Tutaka-Hina found out about what happened to his wife. He built a huge Manu Tangata and loaded it with moa egg's packed in his Ki as food for his long journey. Then he set off his Manu Tangata to find his wife Tawhirimatea god of the wind, sent breeze to Rahi-Tutaka-Hina so his Manu Tangata can be sent into the air.

While he was riding his Manu Tangata, the Manu Tangata tipped sideways, dropping the moa eggs in to a nest of Namu, the giant hokioi and the Namu's chick's ate the moa egg's eagerly. Then the Manu Tangata set Rahi-Tutaka-Hina in a clear space where Ti Ara was being dragged through the forest, She had bent back the leave of the sliver fern's. The leave's made a silver trail for Rahi-Tutaka-Hina to follow, and set off after her.

The Patupaiarehe that he was being followed by Rahi. Suddenly their tohunga cast even more spells Just then a fiery sun burned the forest trees ,then a strong wind blew, the land became a desert of hot warm sand. Rahi was very exhausted and thirsty there was nothing in the place where he was but a yellow rock, as soon as he reached the yellow he threw one of his Ki's on to it, the Mauri of the ki turned the bare rock into a cool green.

While he rested in shade the rock Namu the giant hokioi landed beside him, the hokioi cooled Rahi-Tutaka-Hina face with water from her beak. From a blink of an eye a enormous lizard appeared and trapped Rahi-Tutaka-Hina by making a river around them. At that second the enormous lizard turned into a Taniwha and tried to attack them both it the sun started to set and he was trapped it was really cold so the Namu did its best to keep Rahi-Tutaka-Hina. Until finally he managed to untrape himself .

Rahi-Tutaka-Hina found his way back home and gathered his tribe to find his beloved wife. At least they found the volcano where she was hidden. Just then the volcano was about to erupt in any moment Rahi and his people blocked the vents. That volcano was so hot Patupaiarehe were forced to bring Ti ara back out and give what Rahi was seeking. But before any thing Patupaiarehe wanted to settle this by making peace. Rahi thought until he came up with an idea he said instead of fighting he invented a game Ki-O-Rahi. for all this drama they settled it my inventing a game. 

This is how you play Ki-O-Rahi first you need equipment
1 Bin as the Tupu
2 Cones
3 7 poles
4 8 people each group 
5 only 16 people allowed 

One team is called Taniwai and the other Kioma. The Taniwai team aim is to hit the tupu, the bin,with out get their tags ripped off. Kioma aim is three people have to been in the middle and have to block the other team from hitting the tupu and the rest have to pull the tags.

Today's article is going to be about Robin Williams. Robin Williams was born on 21 of July 1951 in Chicago. He died on August the 11th 2014 Tibron California. He was married to a woman Valerie Veladri until 1978-1988 (Divorced) Marsha Graces until 1989-2008 (Divorced again) and until 2011- 2014 his wife was Susan Schneider. He has three kids Zelda Rae Williams, Zanchary Pym Williams, Cody Alan williams. Robin Williams was a comedian, actor, screenwriter and a film producer.

Robin Williams Fathers name was Robin Fitzgerald and his Mothers name was Laurie McLaurin. When Robin Williams was a kid he went to a elementary school named Gorton Elementary school. He described himself a shy quiet person. Until all that changed once he reached high school Drama, he build his confidence. His friends used to recall him funny because he had build his confidence.

One day his father transferred to a Detroit. He started to live in a 40 room farm house on 20 acres. He also went to a school named Detroit Country Day School. He was actually becoming a legend he in the school's soccer team and wrestling team as well. And became class president.

Cat care part 1 : Feeding

Things you should know before owning a cat/kitten one day I was helping my mum the other day and started think about my last years report, I was so behind on my writing because, I kept using then,and all the time. So I thought what can I find in my shop that I can write about. Near a counter I found a book about Cat-care ( I didn't copy out the book I used my own words in another way)  .

Make sure that your cat or kitten can reach or accuses to food and freshwater. Cats are grazers by nature and much prefer snacks than having food or a good meal at right times.

Kittens should be fed kitten food until they are 9-10 months old, it contains extra nutrition needed for healthy growth. Eating adult cat food will not give pain or hurt your kitten, it will probably just eat more to get proper nutrition.

Elderly or very old cats should be given senior food, while these cat have weight problems they should be put on a calorie controlled lite diet. Cat's and kittens should be given fresh water in a solid straight bowl, even if it dose not drink out of it. Empty rinse and refill daily.

Cat's or Kittens don't need milk it will actually make them feel sick and it will actually prevent diarrhea or vomiting in some cats. Chocolate is poisonous to cats so be care full do not leave it in a place where it can go up to for a nibble on ( Make sure its hidden.

Chicken bones and fish bones should always be avoided forever because if your cat or kitten eat's it, it will cause serious damage, It can give splinters in its stomach and after when you will realized that you will have splinters in your heart so beware of that.

Diving post

For a diver to be balanced they need to know what position they are going to be in. Especially their feet it has to be on the edge of the diving-board, when they are going to dive they have to be in a angle position that is pointing straight down.

That's when they have to really concentrate and have a sharp focus. Then they jumped off the diving board when they are almost in between the pool and diving board that's when they put the arms together like a seal and get back up in the water without touching the bottom.

They do a lot of tricks when they are in the water but the difficult part about it is that they are not allowed to touch the bottom of the pool or else they will be disqualified in a competition. A diver should enter the water straight without any angle, their feet balanced against the diving board, and they focused and concentrated very well.

All of their movements were cool before entering the water as they landed in the water with a minimal splash, controlling their bodies while they jumped of the diving board also they were all balancing of the edge of the diving board.

Kahurangi Dance group

All of the sudden the school bell rang it was time to watch the show that our teachers were talking about this morning. Our class lined up to go to the hall. The hall was filled with year seven and eight and six and fives, cheering the Kahurangi Kapahaka Dance Group to do their best performance.

It began with a lady wearing a traditional Maori piupiu with her pois on the side. She came into the middle of the hall and started talking about the Maori gods and how the world was made. Soon she was joined by three men wearing the same thing but shirtless.

Next another lady joined in, and started to sing about the Maori gods and how the Earth mother Papatuanuku and Ranginui the sky father’s children separated them. One by one they sang together. While they were telling us about the Maori gods I could really imagine how that atmosphere must have looked like. I realized something. When we sing after a mihi it's not loud like their singing. Our voice are strong but not loud enough to be perfect. Their singing was amazingly loud and had a lot of accuracy and beautiful harmonising. It was incredible!

It was nothing like what we expected from two ladies and three men. It was amazing how much sound could come from 5 people with great voices. I kept whispering to my friend next to me (Sapphire) that they should have been in Britain's Got Talent because that was some amazing talent. They would win in any competition that’s for sure.

To finish off their show at the end they started to pick people. So they picked three people. Surprise! The three people were Korobeau, Mr Goodwin (teacher) and Auri. Before the performers started to perform they introduced themselves at the beginning of their show. One of the men named Jorden came up in front, so did Korobeau Mr Goodwin (Teacher) and Auri. They all spread out.

Jorden held a stick which everyone guessed it was a rakau but it was just a stick. While they spread out they started to show off. Auri on the right hand side of the stage was acting as if he was an amazingly strong warrior. Then one of the Kahurangi people Aroha was saying that Korobeau on the left hand side was an amazingly strong warrior and it said the same with Mr Goodwin. He was trying to make him look kind, awesome and cool just like Korobeau and Auri.

Once that was over with I felt like that this was going to turn out funny and it did.  Korobeau, Mr Goodwin and Auri had to copy what Jorden was doing in front and copy him, and when they tried to do that it turned out hilarious. My friend Sapphire and I burst out laughing our faces were turning red hot and it ended.

What I did in the holidays

Hey, Today I’m going to talk about my holidays. July the 7th it was my cousins birthday his name is Taran and he was turning 7. For starting off his birthday I woke him up by sprinkling water on his face Quite mean but he got payed back from that day before.

After that horrible morning for my cousin, my cousin and his mum and my brother and I got ready rushed down stairs and the grabbed food and drinks with because we don't want to spend money on food that we already have at home some money for the movie, and hopped in the car.

While sitting in the car wait to reach our destination Sylvia park, I was really tired because we woke up at 6:00am and reach there at 7:00am so I thought I might just take a little rest real quick after a while I woke up and I was sleeping at the back of the car while my brother yelling at me ‘ Dhara wake up!!!.

Previously we went shopping for some thangs we needed until then me and my brother just follow my cousin and his mum around jealous because my brother and I never had a birthday so special than his. Usually our birthday is just wait until 9:00pm to celebrate with our relative and get spoilt with presents and all that jazz but I enjoy them and appreciate, So we just ignored him trying to make us jealous.

Next we went to the movies to watch my cousin’s movie How to train your dragon 2 it was interesting because I watch their episodes with my brother and Cousin a lot “ Its addicting and it’s really funny anyways watching episodes like this does not make me a baby get over it c’mon I used to watch sponge bob and I still do.

Finally at the end of the movie we went to kiwi yo where they make the best mango ice cream If you hate mango’s you need to check your taste buds, and topped it off with rock melon pieces and grapes. like my brother, After that we all went to McDonald and drove home safely  

Drumming at assembly

This Friday was very special because we had two different types of drums set up on the stage, we first started off our Assembly with a karakia and mihi as always. After the awards and quiz were done, it was time for the performance.

There were two sets of drums one normal one and the other cook Island drums, For the cook Island drums there were 4 or 5 men and one woman for that It was shocking for me because whenever I see cook Island people play the cook Island drums its usually only men playing .

To start us off with the performance was a man named Brett Sargent, he came to our school I think for last year, he had his own set it looked cool especially the colors gold and black It was a fancy combination, it look like if it was just brought looking brand new. He then grabbed his sticks and was ready to rock, he went in a smooth beat then to a rock and roll playing it with hard work.

We cheered and clapped but it wasn't over yet it was the cook Island drummers turn I was excited they grabbed their sticks and ready it was smooth in two beats then show time the woman drummer hit the drum twice first because she was the bass, and the two men joined in and then the rest.

the drummers were amazing that everybody were entertained and were bopping to the beat. While they were playing some of the men were already breaking a sweat because it was thats good, playing the beat fast and controlled it can't be that easy, I was think and talking to myself wow it must of taken a lot practise to make it perfect.
