Lorde is a very talented young lady she has became popular with her first songs Royals, she was born in 7 November 1996 in Takapuna and was raised in suburban Devon port, Auckland. With a older sister and younger brother and sister. As a child Lorde took classes singing and drama.
During drama classes Lorde enjoyed switching on another side of herself. In 2009 she and her friend Louis McDonald participated in the talent show and won it, after they had won the Talent show, Mr McDonald made records of their performance about a Duffy kid song.
