Cat Care part 2 First Week

Cats are by nature territorial, which means that having a place to call their own is extremely important to their emotional well-being. your cat or kitten will be in a state of stress right now taken away to a new strange place, and at that's time your goal will be is to keep them comfortable ASAP also known as as soon as possible.

When you bring a new cat or kitten home. Make sure you have a single room with food water and a littering place at least for the first few days. It is great kindness for your cat or kitten to allow and claim ownership of a small new territorial, at its own place without any competition.

Some shy cats or kittens may freak out and hide under your bed as long like a week . Or possibly more. Others will be to come out into the house and go exploring just for the day. The important thing is to let your cat emerge when it feel likes it. You should spend as much time in the room with your cat or kitten, but never try to force it out from hiding.

Try to keep children quiet and seated on these visits, so they don't frightened the cat or kitten if its not use to kids. The  cat or kitten will let you know when its ready to come out to explore more of the house. Be sure to leave fresh food and water at all times, and check out that it is being consumed. Even stressed cat like to eat, so no food for 24 hours or more is possibly a sign of illness and warrants to a trip to the vet.
